About us – Nigel Forster Photography
Nigel Forster is a Commercial Photographer based at Talybont on Usk in the heart of the Brecon Beacons.
He has always had a passion for the outdoors; the mountains in particular, travel and for landscape photography, and this is reflected in his style of photography.
His specialisation is in landscape and architectural photography, although as with most landscape photographers his commissioned work is more varied, but largely keeping to the ‘location’ theme.
Nigel’s expertise is in the use of simple composition and natural light and creating unique images. His commercial work is varied; from architecture and historic buildings, landscape and tourism, to exhibitions, indoor and outdoor events.
Nigel is also an experienced teacher to groups and individuals in photography, working under the business name of Creative Photography Wales. See also the new website Creative Photography Training. His teaching focuses on his individual approach to an interpretation of the landscape into photographic imagery. He also produces On-Line training video’s for The Photographer Academy, the UK’s foremost photography training company.
Nigel uses full frame Nikon equipment and a mirrorless Fuji system for travelling light. He regularly uses a D800 with lenses ranging from 14 – 300mm.

Talybont on Usk: As active as you want. As peaceful as you need
Nigel is based at Talybont on Usk in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. The area is the centre for all that the Brecon Beacons has to offer and is the base for much of Nigel’s photography teaching work. He is also a Member Brecon Beacons Tourism and of Talybont on Usk Tourism; a group of local businesses working together to support the growth of tourism in the area. We are indebted for the continuing support of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority in achieving our aims.
